Terms of Use

BrewLog is a coffee brewing journal built and operated by an independent developer based in India. By creating an account or using BrewLog on the web or on iOS, you agree to these terms. We've kept them short and readable on purpose.

Your account

You need an account to use BrewLog. You're responsible for keeping access to your sign-in method secure. You must be at least 13 to create an account, or older where your local law requires it — see the Privacy Policy. One person, one account — please don't share credentials.

Your content

Everything you log in BrewLog — your brews, notes, beans, reflections — belongs to you. We claim no ownership over it. We store and process it only to provide the service to you. You're responsible for the content you enter, and for not using BrewLog to store anything unlawful.

Free and paid plans

BrewLog offers a free plan with usage limits, and a paid plan (Pro) that removes them and unlocks additional features. Current limits and features are shown on the pricing section of our homepage. We may adjust free-plan limits over time; if we reduce a limit, existing accounts keep their current allowance.

Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

Pro is sold as a yearly subscription. How you buy, cancel, and get refunded depends on where you purchased it.

Purchases on the web (India)

Payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your full card details.
The subscription runs for 12 months from the date of purchase.
You can cancel at any time by emailing hey@brewlog.xyz. Cancelling stops future renewal; your Pro access continues until the end of the paid period.
Prices are shown inclusive of applicable taxes at checkout.

Purchases on iOS

Pro is sold as an in-app purchase through the Apple App Store, and is priced by Apple for your region.
Billing, renewal, and cancellation are managed entirely by Apple. Manage or cancel from Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your device.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Purchases made through the App Store are also governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement.

Refunds

Web purchases: if BrewLog isn't for you, email hey@brewlog.xyz within 14 days of your purchase and we'll refund you in full, no questions asked. Refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically take 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank. After 14 days, we don't offer partial refunds for the unused portion of a subscription period, but you're welcome to cancel to prevent renewal.

iOS purchases: refunds are handled by Apple, not by us — we have no ability to issue them. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple declines and you think we can help, email us anyway and we'll do what we can.

Service availability

BrewLog is built and maintained by one person. We aim to keep it running reliably, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of BrewLog. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Please keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose. You can request a full export of your data at any time.

Acceptable use

Don't attempt to break, overload, scrape, or gain unauthorised access to BrewLog or other users' data. Don't resell or redistribute the service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do, or that are used unlawfully.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time — on the web from the bottom of your Profile page, on iOS from Settings. Deleting your account removes your profile and everything you logged. We keep payment records and anonymous brewing statistics — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what that means.

Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Those are billed by Apple and keep renewing until you cancel them in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your device. Cancel there first, or you'll continue to be charged for an account that no longer exists.

Changes to these terms

If we make meaningful changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date, and for significant changes we'll notify you by email. Continuing to use BrewLog after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India will have jurisdiction over any dispute — except where consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
